Inventory & Logistics Coordinator - HGP, Melbourne

Hardie Grant Publishing, an award-winning, Australian-owned independent publisher, is looking for a commercially-minded Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to join the Publishing Services team, supporting the publishing division. 

In this entry level role you will deliver timely and profitable control of inward logistics within agreed timeframes and targets, and manage and report associated data for group publishing, and selected agency lists. In addition, you will actively engage in the process of overseeing the maintenance of the title lifecycle to provide a balanced approach to stock availability focused on minimising excess stock holdings and ensuring agreed minimum stock turn targets are achieved for each list.

Key Responsibilities:
Shipping management
Control & advice on stock flow
Resolve warehouse and stock problems
Purchase Order management, stock/sales forecasting
Reporting (Microsoft Excel & application-based)
Title metadata maintenance
Liaise between distributors, external publishing companies, and internal staff

The ideal candidate will have:
 Exceptional time management and demonstrated experience and interest data analysis 
 Quick learner, especially with computer programs/applications, with experience of title/product/SKU management databases an advantage.
Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of forecasting, global supply chains, warehousing, and stock risks
• Well developed communication skills
• Ability to independently solve problems and a demonstrated willingness to learn
• Meticulous attention to detail
