Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing is an award-winning specialist kids and YA publisher who values storytelling and creative thinking. We are seeking a Product and Brands Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a clever, highly organised self-starter with a passion for children’s books and 1+ years of product management and/or project management experience in publishing, or a related industry. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in Excel essential. If you thrive on keeping a finger on the children’s book market’s pulse, have an understanding of our readers and retailers, and a desire to drive best-in-class publishing programs, then this is the role for you!
Working alongside the wider team and reporting to the Senior Rights and Product Manager, you will champion our licensed and distribution programs and contribute to product management across all HGCP lists.
Key responsibilities include:
• Champion, develop and manage licensed publishing programs. Work closely with stakeholders and ensure our lists are market-responsive and aligned with targets.
• Curate and schedule our market-tailored distribution program, and manage list title-by-title.
• Contribute to monitoring and management of product lifecycle and stock holdings across all HGCP lists.
• Conduct licensor forecasting, licensor royalty reporting and distributor reporting.
