Our long-term partner Chronicle Books has kindly made some room for us in their huge converted warehouse in San Francisco. Chronicle was an early mover into the area, and has been followed into it by the likes of Twitter, Dropbox and LinkedIn.

Our head office is in an old inner-city industrial area, now a media/design/agency/fashion precinct. In Melbourne artisanal coffee (an essential part of the working day) is a birthright; and food and wine isn't just what we publish, it's how we live!

Our Melbourne office, on the north side of the Yarra River, is on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We acknowledge them as the traditional custodians of the land, and pay our respects to their elders, past, present and emerging.


In Sydney we're in a heritage-listed converted 19th century grain store that we share with architects, Johnson & Johnson, Screen Australia and an investment bank. Ultimo is what they describe as an 'emerging' inner city residential and business area. What it lacks in harbour view, it makes up for in 'edge'!
